Closer to the Frontline: Expanding Lifesaving Support in Zaporizhzhia ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Weโ€™re pleased to share an important update from Zaporizhzhia, where the need for urgent, reliable medical support continues to grow.

Over July and August 2025, 200 external bone fixation devices were manufactured in Ukraine and successfully delivered to support frontline medical care. These devices are already strengthening surgeonsโ€™ ability to stabilise severe injuries and save limbs in extremely challenging conditions.

We have also recently added a new hospital to our care listโ€”one that is not only exceptionally busy, but absolutely critical to survival in the region. Located perilously close to the frontline, this hospital operates under constant threat, with staff and patients facing daily danger. Despite this, it continues to function as a vital lifeline, providing urgent medical care where it is needed most.

Supporting this facility is now a top priority. Its role cannot be overstated, and neither can the risks it faces. Your continued support is making a real and immediate difference hereโ€”now more than ever.

Thanks to the enormous efforts of all our runners this year, we are now compiling a broader list of bone reconstruction and fixation implants to better meet the urgent and evolving needs of this newest frontline hospital. This flexibility allows us to respond quickly and effectively to realities on the ground.

This hospital is saving lives under the most difficult circumstances imaginable, and your ongoing support helps ensure we can keep pace with demand.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to expand our efforts and adapt to the needs of those workingโ€”and being treatedโ€”so close to the frontline. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
