This Christmas, while much of the world gathered in warmth and safety, USF CEO Natalia Pastushenko spent Christmas Day in a school shelter with 200 children, followed by the next two days with many more children at Kharkiv policlinics. What began as a modest goal became something truly extraordinary.

We are proud to share that in October, another 100 external bone fixation devices were successfully delivered to the military hospital in Dnipro—where they will be used to stabilise severe injuries and help save limbs affected by war-related trauma.

We’re pleased to share that 180 additional suture kits have been successfully delivered to Dnipro, where medical teams continue to work under immense pressure to treat war-related injuries.

Last September, I travelled back to Ukraine—using my own funds—to personally visit the three hospitals the Ukraine Support Fund works with through our flagship Bone Fixator project. These visits took me to Zaporizhia, Dnipro and Kharkiv, where I met directly with medical teams and verified the progress and impact of our projects on the ground.

In July and August, 200 Ukrainian-made bone fixation devices reached frontline hospitals in Zaporizhzhia. Now, with a new hospital added near the frontline, your support is helping us adapt fast to save lives where the risk is greatest.
